Learn More About OSLC

Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is a welcoming place for all in Christ, centered in loving and caring relationships — God and people together. Our faith community is a diverse, multi-generational group of people from all walks of life. People are actively seeking God, answers and a sense of community, including lifelong members whose parents attended Our Saviour's. We welcome new friends and visitors, including shipyard workers, OC students, young families with children, and military and naval personnel. In 2018 we celebrated our 125th Anniversary!

The Church Facilities

Located at the corner of 11th Street and Veneta, OSLC is a charming 1940's vintage church with beautiful stained glass windows that has been remodeled and well-maintained for a warm, inviting, home-based feeling. Many people often inquire about hosting an event at OSLC. This is Christ's church and we go to great lengths to accommodate requests for the space. However, before any events are scheduled at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, we ask that you contact the church office at 360-479-6374 to make sure that our Pastor and the space you need is available.

Lutherhaven Camp & Retreat Center

Lutherhaven is approximately 35 acres with 1,000'+ waterfront on Wildcat Lake in the western area of Bremerton. Nestled among the trees of this beautifully forested location, the camp area of the property has a rustic lodge with a large central fireplace and commercial kitchen, 12 cabins, picnic pavilion, outside firepit and a swimming area. This area serves as both a retreat and bible camp. The day use/picnic area has a caretaker home, large open grassy areas, a boathouse, picnic shelter, firepit and a small dock. In the summer there is a floating dock. The boathouse has canoes and a kayak or two. Our Saviour's is one of 6 founding member churches that share the facility. This beautiful facility has also served for environmental education and the school district for different activities.

“When we first started searching for a church, we wanted to find a place where our whole family would be comfortable. This place has that and we're thankful we found it.”

Involved in the Community

You will find that Our Saviour's is involved in the community in a variety of ways. The purpose of our mission and ministry is summed up in four words: loving and caring relationships. Our Saviour's Lutheran Church is committed to responding prayerfully and actively to the needs of our local and global community by sharing all that God has given us.

Our Saviour's community involvement doesn't end with charitable opportunities. This faith community is proud to be located in Bremerton and enjoys participating and contributing to many civic events and festivities throughout Kitsap County. Both the Girl Scouts and the Sons of Norway use Our Saviour's as a gathering and meeting place.

“I was married here in 1943. My children were baptized here. This is my second family and I love them all.”

A congregation of the ELCA

The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the largest Christian denominations in the United States, with about 4 million members in nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This means we are affiliated with a group of churches that share a living, daring confidence in God's grace. Liberated by our faith, we embrace you as a whole person — questions, complexities and all that you are. Join us in God's work in Christ's name for the life of the world.
